A full room greeted Aviation Electronics Technician Senior Chief (AW/SW) Michael T. Armetta on Aug. 15 as VFA-25 celebrated his continued commitment to serve the US Navy.
Dozens of family, friends, and squadron Sailors watched while Lt. Wes Weaver led the ceremony and administered the enlisted oath of office. The mood was motivating as many young Sailors observed Armetta selflessly dedicate three more years of service to our country.
Armetta was joined by his wife, Richelle, and two children, Ethan and Myriam, traveling from the greater San Francisco area. In his comments, he explained that his success would not have been possible without their support.
Additional thanks were given to family and shipmates supporting him in several assignments spanning over 19 years of service.
In just a few months, Armetta will transfer to the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) to be stationed in San Diego, following a homeport shift from Norfolk, Va.
As with all of our Sailors, the Fist of The Fleet are grateful for ATCS Armetta’s contributions to the squadron during his time here and are excited for what the future holds for him.
