DINUBA — Kingsburg senior guard Jeremy Ray broke a school record for most three-pointers in a season during the Vikings 61-50 loss at Dinuba on Feb. 2.
The previous record was 99 before Ray made four three-pointers against the Emperors to put him at 102 with two games remaining this season. The senior scored 17 points in the game.
Kingsburg dropped to 9-19 overall and 1-6 in Central Sequoia League play after the loss.
The Vikings will look to bounce back in the team’s final regular season home game against Immanuel on Friday, Feb. 9. Kingsburg will wrap up its season on the road against rival Selma on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
SELMA - The Selma girls basketball team won extended its winning streak to nine games after defeating Central Valley Christian High School 65-28 at home on Feb. 2.
In CSL play, the Bears improved to 7-0 with the win. Overall, Selma is 19-7 this season. Currently, the team is in first place in league.
The Bears held CVC to single digits in three quarters of the game. The only time the Cavaliers scored more than single digits was in the second quarter with 10 points.
Clarrisa Moreno had an excellent game for Selma notching a double-double with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Audrey Gonzalez had a solid game for the Bears scoring 11 points and recording seven assists.
Selma will play its final home game of the regular season on Thursday, Feb. 8. After, the Bears will finish the regular season on the road against rival Kingsburg on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
VISALIA — The Selma boys soccer team defeated CVC 5-1 on the road on Feb. 2.
In CSL play, the Bears improved to 7-1 and remain in first place. Overall, Selma is 16-5-3.
Christian Lamas, Jesus Martinez, Carlos Figueroa, Jonathan Torres and Felipe Garcia all scored for the Bears.
Selma will wrapped up its regular season on the road against Dinuba (14-6-2, 7-1 in CSL) on Feb. 8. The winner of the game could clinch a CSL title.

The Vikings drop to 4-15 overall and 1-7 in CSL play.
Kingsburg will finish its regular season with a road matchup against Immanuel on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
SELMA — The Selma girls soccer team tied 0-0 with CVC at home on Feb. 2.
Overall, the Bears are 11-7-1 and 4-3-1 in CSL play this season.
Selma will look to get back into the win column in its final regular season game against Dinuba at home on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
