KINGSBURG – The Kingsburg Kiwanis Club is preparing for its 10th annual pancake supper with a goal of continuing to support local youth and community groups.
“The Kiwanis Club is very gratified for the support from the community over the past 10 years,” Kiwanis member Pauline Nyberg said.
The pancake supper is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Orchard Bible Fellowship, 2400 19th Ave. The event takes place in the dining hall. The meal includes scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit and a beverage for $6. Tickets for children younger than 12 years old are $3.
The supper includes live and silent auctions. The live auction starts at 6:15 p.m. and includes delicious cream or fruit pies. The silent auction is 5:30 to 7 p.m. and includes items such as home decorations, gift certificates for services and restaurants and specialty baked goods.
Credit cards can now be accepted for payment of auction items, as well as cash or checks.
Funds from the supper will support Kiwanis activities such as the scholarships for graduating high school seniors, Special Olympics Fishing Derby sponsorships, lunches for Special Olympics and donations to Young Life, the Historical Train Depot, Historical Park, Chamber of Commerce, KCAPS, Reagan K-Kids, Rafer Johnson Junior High Builders Club and Kingsburg High’s Key Club.
For tickets to the supper, call 897-3609, or the Chamber of Commerce at 897-1111, or contact Kiwanis members.
