The Fresno County Public Library and Save Mart Center are partnering to get books into the hands of children by sponsoring a book drive through Dec. 15. All branches are participating.
New and gently used books are being accepted. Donors will receive a voucher good for $10 off a ticket to the Harlem Globetrotters game at the Save Mart Center on Friday, Jan. 12. The donated books will be given to children through various programs.
There is no limit as to what types of books and how many can be donated for vouchers. The Library is looking for books that are gently used or new as it will be given to a child to keep.
“It’s an honor to work with organizations like the Save Mart Center and the Harlem Globetrotters to promote literacy for our children and get books into their hands,” County Librarian Kelley Landano said. “I can’t thank these two organizations enough for their hard work and generosity in supporting the library.”
