HANFORD - Special Olympics hosted the 37th annual Chili Cook-off at Civic Park on Saturday. The morning weather was mild, like some of the chili offered by the participants, but as the afternoon heated up so did the chili. With multiple vendor booths on the Douty Street side of Civic Park and over a dozen competitors on the Irwin Street side, live music, K-9 demonstrations and more, there was a little something for everyone. The money raised helps support the sports offered to the athletes during the year.
