October is National Fire Safety Month and the Hanford Fire Department will be hosting an Open House on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station #1 on Grangeville Boulevard.

The public is invited to come out and meet your firefighters, tour the station and get a close-up view of firefighting equipment. This free family friendly event will also cover fire and burn safety, a host of special guests and free hotdogs and juice, first come first served.
