Local group continues 'Caring For America'
LEMOORE - The Kings County Republican Women Federated visited Mary Immaculate Queen School in Lemoore during the first week of September to continue the “Caring For America” community contributions campaign they began in May.
During their visit, members gave Thesauruses to the third-grade class, President books to the fifth-grade class and Constitution books to the eighth-grade class. During the May visit the members distributed books to first through fourth grades. Each student was given two books each to take home as their own.
COS - Hanford mobile pantry: Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon, College of the Sequoias, 925 13th Ave., Hanford. The mobile pantry, presented by Community Food Bank and COS Health Center is offering to the general public fresh produce and more. Bring your own bag.
MIQ Fall Festival - Lemoore: Oct. 1, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., MIQ School, 884 N. Lemoore Ave., Lemoore. Mary Immaculate Queen School is hosting their annual Fall Festival is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year. Carnival style games, food and sweet shop. This event is open to the public.
