HANFORD -- Financial Peace University (FPU) is a 13-week program that teaches families and individuals how to handle their money through common-sense principles and small group accountability. Central Valley Christian Women's Connection
VISALIA -- The Central Valley Christian Women's Connection is having a luncheon, "Out With the Old, in With the New," on Monday at the Lamp Liter banquet room, West Main and Mineral King. The speaker, Bonnie Parrett, is a furniture restoration expert and former confirmed athiest. An "old and young" fashion show will be the special feature and Henry Serrato will perform the musical feature. The buffet will take place from 11:30 a.m. to noon, with the meeting following from noon to 1:30 p.m. Luncheon reservations appreciated. Price is $13.50, inclusive. Pathways is currently hosting a Christian 12-Step meeting of Overcomers Outreach at 7 p.m. every Thursday.Overcomers Outreach uses the 12 steps to help people in recovery from addictions and compulsive behaviors such as alcoholism, drugs, gambling, eating, sexual addictions and more. All are welcome to attend, even family members of those struggling.
