Vote for Dan Chin

I would like to ask you to join me, in re-electing Dan Chin for Hanford City Council District C. I have known Danny since we were both 13 years old. I have always found him to be sincere, caring and a giver. This did not surprise me when Danny became so involved in his community, which has covered so much and we as citizens of Hanford have been blessed with his tireless community involvement and his personal hard work for our community as a whole.

Danny has always had such genuine leadership qualities and a discerning mannerism that he has shared with all those around him. His loyalty, experience, integrity and his absolute "will to lead" has benefited us all as citizens of Hanford.

Not since the days that Danny and I were leading our roller hockey team to state championships, have I worked so closely with Danny. I must say that I have so enjoyed, working by his side to get him re-elected to District C on the Hanford City Council.

And have got to witness his absolute hard work and loyalty to this city and its people. Danny talks with everyone and loves to hear what all have to say rather in agreement or not. Danny has always made a point to hear all sides and listen with great care, before making any decisions or responding to the needs of our community and its citizens.

We are so blessed to have him serving and making sure that the best interest of our wonderful city and its citizens are and have been under the hard work, loyalty, gracious and watchful eye of Danny Chin.

So with much gratitude, I ask you again, to please join me and so many others in re-electing my friend, Dan Chin to the Hanford City Council District C.

Frank E. Silva

" To: Frank E. Silva, so that means you support Mr. Danny Chin in his determined effort to destroy some of historic downtown Hanford to build a three story Parking Garage? Do you support his continued denial of services to the East and South side of town, which needs infrastructure and a hand up so, "newer and better homes" can be built, businesses opened and the economy lifted bringing more jobs locally? Dan Chin is and always has concentrated the growth of this city in the North and Northwest direction, stalling and stunting the growth in any other areas of town. His thousands of dollars of support must come from those manicured lawns with all the infrastructure in place and parks built instead of the lower income side of town. Where people still pay property taxes, sales, taxes, water, sewer, garbage, and recycling costs. But don't receive the infrastructure to improve the quality of life in those areas. Most would consider this unfair and has gone on too long. In all honesty I don't see how anyone can vote for the same old boy network and the same thing in the Council. "

" To: Frank E. Silva, I would think that anyone who has served the city of Hanford for 30 years could have accomplished all there was to accomplish. Unless Danny is indicating that the lesser council member has held back his progress, when he gave her accolades befitting a conquering hero at the debate in the Civic Auditorium. You would think Marcie Buford and Dan Chin built and named Hanford all on their own to hear him talk. Another question is it a "will to win" or his "will to lead" or are you confused about the campaign slogan? When Danny Chin talks about leadership it is as if he were Columbus and had discovered america or something as grand. When in fact he voted with Marcie Buford 98% of the time and abstained the other 2%. So how is that indicative of a leader, it sure looks like a follower to me. Oh and for those who were asking about BUFORD OIL, it is located on north 8 3/4 Avenue, all four semis and eight trailers, plus a bob tail fuel delivery trucks and trailers. Still in business! "

" Hey Mr. Sliva. I heard you are the campaign manager for Mr. Chin. What ethics do you guys follow? I live on a corner and you guys put a sign in my front yard before getting my permission. What do you think I’m going to do when I hear a knock at my door and see several rough looking guys at my doorstep? When I answered the door, they moved away a pointed to Dan Chin who is on the sidewalk in a wheelchair and say he could not get up to my door step to ask to put his sign in. With the sign firmly planted in my yard and Dan smiling at me, what do I think I’m going to say? I see many signs in District C on all four corners. Just the corners. Did you guys use the same tactics? Not good in my view. "
