Lemoore LL in title game

EXETER -- Despite three extra-base hits by Clark Cota, the Lemoore Little League 10-11 All-Stars fell 16-8 to Morada in the championship round of the Section 6 baseball tournament Saturday.

Cota had a triple and two doubles for Lemoore, which must beat Morada today to advance to the Northern California tournament, which starts this coming Saturday in Fremont. Game time is 10 a.m.

Morada took advantage of big innings to win this one, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first to take a 6-2 lead and putting it away with seven runs in the sixth.

Marcuss Clayton also tripled for Lemoore.
