Corcoran man, 27, facing sex charges after girl, 15, gives birth

A late June childbirth led to the arrest of a Corcoran man on Friday afternoon when it was revealed that he was carrying on a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl. Corcoran Police officers arrested Octavio Torres, 27, at his home in the 2200 block of Whitley Avenue after he was determined to be the father of the unnamed female victim's child.

The juvenile and their child were living with Torres at the time of his arrest. Investigators also revealed that Torres and the victim began a sexual relationship when she was 14 years old.

Torres was booked into the Kings County Jail on suspicion of lewd acts with a child, oral copulation with a child and sodomy on a child. He is being held in lieu of $790,000 bail.
